The Big Goal Of Energy Work
Energy Work, or Energy Medicine, seeks to reconnect YOU to YOU.
It helps you become who you are, at the level of your soul.
It seeks the full expression of the beauty and the gifts you have to share with the world.
For all of us, our conditioning gets in the way. We have blind spots. We overplay parts of ourselves. We learn to deny other parts of ourselves.
We start believing we should be someone else in order to be loved/successful/accepted/…
The big goal of energy work is to reconnect you with what’s already right there within you.
When that’s true, you’re relaxed, smiling, happy, able to face the world, and able to access all the resources within you to live your dreams.
In more technical words: The goal is to balance your chakras, so that each of the resources in these energy centers are available to you.
Likely, you will hear me talk in terms of chakras.
Chakras are seven energetic centers located within the body. Each one is associated with a theme of life. This theme manifests in different thoughts, beliefs, emotions and even physical symptoms. They are held as information within the chakra. (real quick, the themes are: Security, Separation, Will, Love, Expression, Perception, Connection).
How We Get You Balanced
The main modality in which I help you balance your chakras is REIKI.
With reiki, I send life-energy to each chakra. This is why I like to give a reiki session every time. The whole physical-mental-emotional-spiritual body gets extra energy and balances itself.
After a reiki session, I will usually be able to give you a quick reading on your strongest and weakest chakras, what that may mean for you in your life and how to keep balancing them. Although Reiki balances the whole system, that balance does not always stay for a long time. Being balanced can actually be a very unusual and strange and uncomfortable experience. Often we seek to quickly find our habitual imbalances again.
Because of this and because Reiki is a non-verbal experience, it is also really very useful to bring consciousness to the imbalances, and to involve the rest of our intelligences – the mind, the vision, the emotions, and the body.
One way I will do this is by giving you exercises to work on the chakras most needing a boost. It is extremely useful to work on chakras (or themes) individually. This can be done through questioning, journaling, physical exercises as well as visualization exercises.
Moreover, I have found it incredibly useful to incorporate techniques of a mindful-visualization type to give you the direct experience of where your energy is blocked. The main technique I use to help you achieve this is called “focusing” or my preferred name: “having a mindful body-mind conversation”. This techniques allows your body to express its wisdom, to release stuck energy and to balance you in a different and lasting way.

True to the name of my business – Reiki Montreal – Reiki is usually incorporated in the session because it is gentle, holistic, balances all the chakras and relaxing.
Reiki is done on a massage table. I will assure you are comfortable and start channeling energy from the universe into your energy system. This balances each chakra and allows the energy to move in ways as to balance itself.

Meditative Practices – Visualizations and Mindfulness
The work I do at Reiki Montreal has a strong basis in meditative practices. I use many visualizations to help you get in touch with a certain feeling (i.e. calm, strength, joy, etc.), or to let go of some things that are no longer needed. A lot of my clients adore walking away with a visualization. If you like, you can record the one we do in your session so that you can listen to it at another time.
Last, but certainly not least, to me, at Reiki Montreal, Mindfulness is the pinacle on which all healing revolves. Showing up to your reality with presence and acceptance is often all you need to evolve into health. I always let the present moment guide the therapy and the specific energy techniques I will use with you.
